Minimum 1 year of work experience in Canada

2. Federal skilled worker program

3. Federal skilled trades program
Federal skilled trades programs are for skilled individuals who wish to get permanent residency for their qualifications in a skilled trade.Minimum requirement for Federal skilled trades program
- job experience in the skilled trades
- employment offer or qualification certificate
- language proficiency
- job experience in the skilled trades
You have to
- possess the necessary qualifications for the skilled trade as mentioned in the National Occupational Classification (NOC).
- demonstrate that you have completed the tasks listed in the lead statement of the occupational description in the NOC, including all the essential duties and the majority of the main duties.
- At least 2 years of skilled trades work experience within the last 5 years.
The application would be rejected if:
- You fail to demonstrate how your experience matches the NOC’s description.
- During this task, you were not qualified to practice the trade activity on your own.
- You must have worked for pay (either commission or wages) during your employment history. Unpaid internships and voluntary activities are not included.
Job offer
A full-time job offer OR a certificate of qualification
A qualification certificate demonstrates your eligibility for employment in Canada in a particular specific trade. That is to say, you fulfilled all requirements to practice your trade in the province or territory where your certificate was granted, including passing a certification exam.
If the province does not give a certificate of qualification then you must have a legitimate employment offer in your trade.
